Terms of Service
Last updated: May 4, 2026
This is a draft — please have it reviewed by counsel before relying on it for a public launch.
Using Muse
Muse is a writing tool. You sign in with Google, write whatever you want, and optionally hand the draft to an AI co-author for a continuation in your voice. You retain full ownership of everything you write and everything generated in response to your writing.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your Google account secure. We don't store passwords. If your account is compromised, sign out of all sessions and rotate your Google password.
Acceptable use
Don't use Muse to generate content that's unlawful, that targets identifiable individuals with harassment, or that solicits CSAM or other content prohibited by Anthropic's Acceptable Use Policy. Repeated violations result in account termination.
AI output
AI-generated continuations are produced by Anthropic's Claude models in real time based on your text. They are not pre-written. AI output may contain factual errors, stylistic inconsistencies, or repeat passages from public sources. You are responsible for reviewing and revising anything you choose to keep, publish, or attribute.
Service availability
Muse is provided as-is. We may change, pause, or discontinue parts of the service without notice. We try to preserve your data through any such changes and to give reasonable notice when we can.
Rate limits
To keep the service stable for everyone, AI calls are rate-limited per account and storage is capped at a reasonable number of pieces per account. These limits may be adjusted over time.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the profile menu. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or Anthropic's acceptable use policy.
No warranty; limitation of liability
The service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Muse, including any AI output.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date and call out the change on the sign-in screen.
